Glamourdale convincingly to double win in CDI 5 * Compiegne

Last weekend the annual CDI took place on the beautiful dressage grounds in Compiegne. During this CDI, various 3* and 5* classes were held.

Our top stallion Glamourdale, together with Charlotte Fry, entered the 5* Grand Prix for the first time in his career. And what a start this was….
79.435%, a first place and again a new PR for this combination!
He scored several 10’s for the extended canter and a 10 was also given for the changes. Glamourdale, bred by Mr. Rodenburg from Ouderkerk aan de Amstel is still young and not very experienced at this level, the further he progresses in the test the better he does, on the last A-C line he even got several nines (!) for his piaffe.

After the Grand Prix, the riders and amazons could choose between the Special or the Freestyle.
Lottie and Glamourdale started in the Special. They also won this test with a score of 76.638%.

Full sister to Secret Lover very succesfull

Our stallion Secret Lover s. Secret x Furstenball x Florestan, is now in his last week of the performance test at the KWPN. Last week his full sister, Orinda, who is also bred by Herr Zumbruch and now owned by Dirk Witte from Oldenburg, went to the mare test at the Oldenburger Studbook. After a very good test, with ao a 9,5 for her walk, she is now a “staatspremie Anwarterin”.
After the test she also got invited for the famous “Brilliant Ring” in Rastede, where the best mares off Oldenburg come together.
In the video a short clip of her performance in hand during the test.

Lottie and Everdale to place 7 on FEI World Ranking Dressage

Charlotte Fry and her Everdale are now in 7th place in the last published FEI World Ranking Dressage. This is the highest place they have been in their career so far! In addition, Everdale is also the highest placed KWPN stallion in this list…
In addition to Everdale, she is also in the list with Dark Legend in place 15. Glamourdale, who already made a giant leap last month, has now moved on to place 21.
This makes her the only rider in the world who is represented in the top 25 of the world with three horses!

Horses and Dreams meets Canada

For the first time since the outbreak of the Corona Pandemic, Horses and Dreams is back in its completely original version. About 600 horses are on the showgrounds of the Kasselmann family in Hagen, Germany. The set-up of the competition is as usual: Spacious stands, shops, restaurants… Really everything has been thought of!

Charlotte Fry will start with three horses: Dark Legend in the 4* Grand Prix for the freestyle, Everdale in the 4* Grand Prix for the special and his son Inclusive in the 3* Grand Prix for the special.
The youngest of the three is Inclusive and he was the first to enter the arena. The 9-year-old son of Everdale, bred by the Enting family from Grolloo out of an Uptown mare, competed for the second time in the international Grand Prix. With highlights such as the piaffe, passage and the extended trot and canter, but also some points for improvement, he scored 71.065%. Again a new PB for this combination!

The day after, Inclusive was again the first to participate, but this time for the Grand Prix Special. Awake and fresh as always, he marched through his first Special at international level. Again a score of more than 71%, a more than successful debut in this competition!

In the afternoon it is Everdale’s turn. After the European Championship, which also took place in these arenas, it’s the first time that Everdale is competed. The test seemed more relaxed, in a good frame, shows a piaffe out of the book and no mistakes. Everdale is on his way to a super form. The total score is exactly 74%, which might have been 2% more…

On Friday the dressage will continue with the Grand Prix for the Freestyle in which Dark Legend will appear at the start. The 4* Special will be held on Saturday afternoon and the 4* Freestyle to music is on the program for Saturday evening.

Charlotte Fry with third horse in top thirty FEI World Ranking

Charlotte Fry has climbed from place 120 to 27 in the FEI World Ranking with Glamourdale (Lord Leatherdale x Negro). This means that the only 26-year-old rider has her third (!) horse in the top thirty. She takes ninth place with Everdale and fifteenth with Dark Legend. The results of CDI Opglabbeek have not even been included in the new version of the world ranking, so there is a good chance that Fry and Glamourdale will climb even further towards the top ten of the ranking next month.

Fantastic weekend in Opglabbeek for Van Olst Horses

After Lottie already set a new personal record during the Grand Prix with Glamourdale and with Inclusive, she closed the weekend in an unparalleled way.
With Glamourdale, the former world champion, she once again set a big personal record of no less than 80.979% in the Grand Prix Special! An absolute record for Lottie, who has never scored so high in the Special with her other Grand Prix horses. With no less than 6.5% ahead of the number two, she managed to win this class!

Inclusive also managed to qualify for the Freestyle to music. This 9 year old talent ran the very first freestyle in his life and crowned this debut with debut with 73.975%! An amazing achievement for a horse at such a young age!

April 17 (Easter Day) live stallion show Van Olst Horses – Den Hout

Last April 1, Van Olst Horses broadcast his “stallion presentation” online. You will be able to watch this 1.5-hour online “stallion presentation” via www.vanolsthorses.com.

In addition to this online “stallion show”, Van Olst Horses has its own “live” stallion show on Sunday afternoon, April 17 (1st Easter day) at 2 pm.

This is the opportunity for the breeder who would like to see the stallions up close and live. All Van Olst stallions will be shown under saddle with the exception of the Grand Prix toppers Everdale and Glamourdale. These 2 stallions are often at competitions with Lottie Fry. Their qualities are well known.

Of course, these great stallions can be admired in their stable.

Weather permitting, the intention is to have the stallion show in the outdoor arena.

Glamourdale hengst

Glamourdale to victory in Opglabbeek!

This week the CDI will take place in Opglabbeek at the impressive Sentower Park.
The Grand Prix has 44 combinations at the start, where you can choose to ride the Special or the Freestyle to music.
Inclusive, Everdale’s 9-year-old son, made his international debut here. The outdoor season also started this weekend, so the combination had to do their test in icy wind and drizzle. With several highlights in the test, including the piaffe, but also room for improvement, the score came to 69.087%.

A day later it was Glamourdale’s turn, the icy wind was still there but now the rain had turned to snow… But the weather conditions didn’t seem to affect this duo. Glamourdale excelled in the extended work, showed good piaffes and passages and managed to win the class with a new personal best of 77.696%!

Franka Loos to Van Olst Horses

Den Hout – The successful Dutch rider Franka Loos started working at Van Olst Horses in Den Hout on the 1stof March.
Van Olst Horses is no stranger to Franka. Previously, Franka had been a permanent stable rider in Den Hout for over 2.5 years and was successful with the stallions Giovanni, George Clooney and Crosby.
In the past 2 years, Franka was successful as an independent rider with Las Vegas, among others, with which she won the Pavo Cup twice and the stallion competition twice. The combination also scored very high in the final at the World Championships in Verden.
Franka’s first public appearance at Van Olst Horses started well. With the stallion Niro’s Enjoy she won the class for four-year-old dressage horses in Berlicum. She is now also a combination with the KWPN stallion and performance topper Nalegro and expectations for the future are high.
Besides fellow stable rider Lottie Fry, who rides under the English flag, Franka Loos will try to defend the Dutch flag at Van Olst Horses.
