Don Joe and Lars van de Hoenderheide report at top level

Lottie Fry had a busy autumn 2022, with full focus on her horses Glamourdale, Kjento, Everdale and Dark Legend in particular. This was a very successful period, but everything goes on, and there is also another good batch of new talents eager to break through.
Especially Don Joe (by Diego x Lord Leatherdale breeder: Van Olst Horses) and Lars van de Hoenderheide (by Negro x Layout breeder: J. Sips – Loenhout, Belgium) are knocking on the door at this highest level. Don Joe was very successful in at the beautiful CDI in Leeuwarden with fine scores of 71.5%
in the Grand Prix and 72.681% in the Special. Then in early January he had a super competition at the CDI in Exloo, scoring 71.913% and the Grand Prix and winning the Freestyle with 77.895%.
Lars van de Hoenderheide had a super international debut at the CDI Leeuwarden and a fine 70.61% in the Grand Prix and a stunning score in the Freestyle with 77.895%
Then on 21 January, Lars was winner at the Subtop Grand prix in Someren with a nice 72.772% score.
To top it all off, last weekend came the international World Cup debut for Lars van de Hoenderheide at “Jumping Amsterdam”.
Lars scored a fantastic 73.109% in the Grand Prix, and then he scored great in the Freestyle with a stunning 78.339% with a “borrowed” Freestyle from stablemate Dark Lagend.
The future for Don Joe and Lars looks bright, the start has been made, and we look forward to what the coming season will bring for them.
Besides Don Joe and Lars van de Hoenderheide, Inclusive (by Everdale x Uptown, breeder: H. Enting, Grollo) will also have to compete this coming season. This very talented son of Everdale, plays with the heaviest exercises and we are looking forward to what next season will bring for him.
Lottie is
also busy building up her 2 small tour horses. Especial (by Everdale x Vivaldi breeder: C. van Bavel, Oosterhout) and Jackson (by Everdale x Negro breeder: Van Olst Horses) are 2 very talented horses for whom Grand Prix work is not unthinkable in the near future.

Lottie Fry and Glamourdale ‘on fire’ for a frenzied home audience

The British public went wild on Saturday night when their own Charlotte Fry and the KWPN stallion Glamourdale (Lord Leatherdale out of Thuja stb pref prest by Negro, breeder J.W. Rodenburg of Ouderkerk aan den IJssel) started their last piaffe passage tour in the Freestyle on Music in London.

Herning’s world champions took it one step further and danced to victory in the World Cup competition with a personal best of 90.995%.

It was the first time that Lottie Fry was on British soil with her golden World Cup horse Glamourdale. The stallion was in great shape, 22 tens were on the protocol. Many of those tens fell in the artistic section, but also for the extended canter (five times), the two tempis, the halfpass to the left, the extended trot and the halt. Very well deserved, the score came to 90.995%, a personal best and a convincing victory.

Incredible crowd
“The crowd support tonight has been incredible, and to end this amazing year here is amazing! It’s almost impossible to sum up 2022 – it’s been incredible and coming to London and performing in front of my home crowd is the best feeling and the best way to end the year!” said Fry.

Of the Glamourdale performance, she said, “I had such an easy, fun ride. He’s better than in Herning and we keep improving, so I can’t wait for the next few years. Paris (Olympics 2024) is definitely the target, and we’ll see how it goes until then.”

Lottie and Glamourdale in a league of their own in London

After the two gold medals at the World Cup in Herning last August, Charlotte Fry returned to the ring today at the World Cup competition in London with Glamourdale (by Lord Leatherdale x Negro, breeder Mr. Rodenburg). It was a dream comeback: the top score of 84.026% appeared on the boards for the “short” Grand Prix, another new personal best for Lottie.

Lottie and Glamourdale’s test was rewarded with a whole series of eights and nines. The ultimate ten appeared for seven parts: the entry and halt, the extended trot, the two tempies and the one tempies, the extended canter, the first passage on the AC line and the last halt. She was placed as number 1 by the entire jury corps. With a score of 84.026%, the combination was more than five percent ahead of the nr 2 combination.

Nalegro will come to London

The KWPN approved stallion Nalegro, s. Painted Black x Negro, will be shown in London in the Masterclass “Dressage Unwrapped”. In this Masterclass, several well-known English dressage riders, including Carl Hester and Richard Davidson, will talk about their past successes and especially how they got there.

Under the guidance of Anne van Olst, Charlotte Fry will present Nalegro and discuss the training of a young horse with the ultimate goal, the Grand Prix, in mind.

O’Frederic

With an impressive total off 84 points, O’Frederic has just been approved by the KWPN! The son of For Romance x Fidertanz was bred by H. Schulte from Eggermühlen.

Next year, O’Frederic will be available to all breeders in Europe by means of fresh semen. Semen can be ordered daily until 9:00 AM by telephone, email and the orderform on our website. All information from O’Frederic can be found here: O’Frederic
