25th anniversary

On the 16th off March 1998 Wilma Hermus – Kroese started working at Van Olst Horses. Yesterday was her 25th anniversary but because she always of on Thursday we celebrated this today! When she arrived in the office this morning we surprised her with flowers, a big cake and offcourse a little gift!

Lottie and Glamourdale on top in World Cup Freestyle in Den Bosch

World champion Charlotte Fry fulfilled her favorite role today in the World Cup freestyle at The Dutch Masters in Den Bosch. With her World Cup golden horse Glamourdale (by Lord Leatherdale) she achieved the highest score of 86.835% by far. With a lead of more than three percent, they were well at the top. The stallion has talent for everything, but his highlight is the canter. Several tens were also noted in it today: for the extended canter and the series every two strides.

Lottie and Lars also win the 3* freestyle

After Charlotte Fry with Lars van de Hoenderheide (Negro x Layout) won the three-star Grand Prix  on Friday at The Dutch Masters, the duo went on to repeat this today. In the freestyle, the rider and the 12-year-old chestnut gelding rode to 77.335% and was once again at the front of the award ceremony. After Leeuwarden and Amsterdam, the BWP-bred Lars van de Hoenderheide competed his third freestyle in the Brabanthallen today. The duo received a whole bunch of high marks on the protocol, but there is certainly still room for some improvement.

The Dutch Masters

The Dutch Masters are currently taking place in the Brabanthallen in Den Bosch. This beautiful show that was previously known as Indoor Brabant is also the last competition that counts as a qualification for the Dressage World Cup.

Lottie and Glamourdale started in the Grand Prix and lived up their role as favourites! With a difference of over 3 percent on the number two, they managed to achieve the nice score of 79.826%. Saturday afternoon the Freestyle will be ridden;, which is also the conclusion of the world cup competition in Den Bosch.

Besides Glamourdale, Lars van de Hoenderheide and Jackson are also at The Dutch Masters. On Friday Lars came into action in the 3 star Grand Prix and became the winner in the Grand Prix.

Jackson also competed on Friday in the Prix st. George. He was able to continue his victory series from Lier with winning this class!

All in all a very strong start of the “The Dutch Masters” for Lottie and her horses. On Saturday, all three will compete again, with Lottie and Glamourdale riding their Freestyle “Best of Britain” for the first time on Dutch soil.

Jackson in good shape in Lier

Everdale son Jackson showed his good form during the Prix st. Georges in Lier. Together with Charlotte Fry, the duo achieved a score of 73.941%, which was good for the win. The lead over number 2 was more than 3 percent!
Jackson was bred by Van Olst Horses out of the Negro daughter Eternal Flame, who is also the dam of the Inter II horse Iris s. Lord Leatherdale and the Small Tour horse Kingsdale s. Negro. Kingsdale also competed in the Small Tour in Lier and achieved a score of over 68%!

Another descendant of Everdale entered the arena in the same test. Inferno, ds. Trento B, bred by Mr Gloudemans from Nuland managed to achieve a score of 70.235% and a nice 4th place under the saddle of Quinty Vossers!

KWPN stallionshow presentation newly approved stallions

Like every year, the presentation of the stallions that were approved by the KWPN last year is eagerly awaited. Van Olst Horses has approved the stallions Secret Lover v. Secret x Furstenball breeder B. Zumbruch from Wangerland DLD and O’Frederic v. For Romance I x Fidertanz breeder H. Schulte from Eggermuhlen DLD.

O’Frederic clearly showed why he could be approved last fall. This beautiful brown horse showed to have a very good uphill canter, in walk he showed the much sought-after suppleness and space and in trot he could impress with a very good technique of moving.

Secret Lover, who was approved in the spring of 2022 and whose first foals are expected this year, has become a lot stronger and more mature. The elegant black walked the course with a lot of go as if he had never done anything else.
