What’s the best way to end your day?
What’s the best way to end your day at a competition? By winning the last class as the last starter with a top score of 76.674%! That’s what Charlotte Fry just did in the three-star Grand Prix in Compiègne. With Everdale, the black champion of Lord Leatherdale x Negro bred by P. Kluytmans from Tilburg, she showed that they’re in great form. In Exloo two weeks ago they managed to achieve 0.1% more, but the gap with today’s number two was no less than 3%.
Severo Jurado Lopez is also present and has the Negro son Fendi T, breeder fam. Timmers from Volkel, under the saddle. In their second international Grand Prix they managed to achieve a nice score of 71.109%. During their debut in Hagen, the pair managed to achieve a score of 68.391%. In short, a very good improvement of their PR in this class!
Tomorrow morning the program will continue with the Grand Prix Special at 8.00 am where these horses will again compete. After this class, the Nation Cup will take place where Lottie will compete with Dark Legend.
CDI Compiègne started
Today the first day of the CDI in Compiegne, France, started with the Prix st. Georges and how! This morning Lottie and Don Joe, by Diego x Lord Leatherdale, bred by Van Olst Horses, made an early start in this division. Under a nice sun, which was a welcome change after all the bad weather recently, the duo danced to an excellent percentage of 74.6%.
This competition is the second international start for the pair, in Hagen last year they made their debut at this level and were 3rd with a score of 71%.
During today’s class it turned out that no one could beat the score from Charlotte Fry and Don Joe and they won the first prize!

Glamourdale wins his second international Grand Prix start!
In Grote Brogel, Belgium, Glamourdale showed his great form: He won his second international Grand Prix with a score of 76.761%. With almost 4% difference from the number two, the judges were unanimous in its verdict. Glamourdale (s. Lord Leatherdale x Negro bred by Mr. Rodenburgh from Ouderkerk aan de Ijssel) has received his second international qualification and this meets the requirement to start in international 5 star competitions, such as CHIO Rotterdam, CHIO Aachen but of course also the European Championships.
In the Grand Prix Freestyle, on the music of Clearwater, Glamourdale danced to victory in the pouring rain. To the sounds of “Simply the best”, the former world champion showed his passage like a king, an exemplary piaffe and perfect tempy changes. This Freestyle debut was good for a percentage of 83.235% and the victory in his very first freestyle.
This 2nd qualification also means that the Olympic Games in Tokyo would be possible to compete in when Lottie gets selected, but Van Olst Horses has decided to give priority to the obligations of Glamourdale as a stallion. He will be available this season with fresh semen (EU).
Charlotte Fry focuses on her other diamonds Dark Legend and Everdale for the Olympic Games.

CDI Exloo has started!
A few minutes ago Charlotte Fry and Inclusive, s. Everdale x Uptown breeder fam. Enting from Grolloo started there Prix St. Georges in Exloo.
The moment they entered the ring the wind picked up and in the pooring rain the duo had to complete there test. Nevertheless the pair showed a beautiful test with a lot of highlights. Inclusive absolutely showed his ability for the highest collection in canter with beautiful canterpirouettes and the trot work stood out with a lot of expression.
At the end of the test the total result was 73,333% and a superb 2nd place in the final standings.
Special weekend lays behind us.
Last weekend was completely dominated by the international start of the competition season in Hagen am Teutoborger Wald. After all Covid restrictions and the outbreak of the Rhino virus, this was the first opportunity for many riders to compete. A CDI was organized on the impressive showgrounds of the Kasselmann family. In the corridors this was already called the “Olympic Games” in Hagen, given the names on the starting list.
Our stable rider Charlotte Fry took part in this competition with Everdale and Glamourdale.
Everdale was allowed to kick off in the Grand Prix, which was the qualification for the Kur. Because it was the first time after a long time, the routine might have missed a little bit, but almost flawlessly Lottie was able to lead the black pearl through the test. In the end there was a very deserved 73.804% on the scoreboard which ultimately resulted in a fifth place.
After this, it was time for Glamourdale to make his international debut in the Grand Prix that counted as qualification for the Special. This special also counts as a team competition during the Olympic Games and so the competition was fierce. In the second Grand Prix of his life, Glamourdale and Lottie managed to put down a super test. Highlights were of course the extended trot and the canter. But the duo also showed that all exercises with the highest degree of collection are no problem at all. Ultimately, this debut was judged with a score of 74.456%, which was good for a seventh place.
Saturday was the day of the special and the kur to music. First was the GP special on the program, where Glamourdale had to start early in the class. That this test might suit him even better than the regular test was evident from the score of 76.404% and a final fifth place. In short, a very successful performance of his very first Grand Prix Special!
Later that evening Everdale started his Freestyle. Under the atmospheric artificial light, Everdale was at its best and absolutely stood out! On the well-fitting music the duo showed one highlight after another, which ultimately resulted in a huge 81.770%, which also meant a new personal record for Everdale and Lottie.
