Lottie and Glamourdale on fire at Indoor Brabant the Dutch Masters
On Saturday 15 March, the last World Cup dressage qualification competition was held in the Brabanthallen in Den Bosch. Lottie and Glamourdale were once again the very best. They had already won the World Cup in London and Amsterdam and did so again in Den Bosch. Lottie piloted the KWPN approved stallion Glamourdale (by Lord Leatherdale) to 89.705% and first place after a very good Freestyle.
It was a pleasure to watch a beautiful ride by a great combination. The audience started clapping enthusiastically as they rode up the last line. The stallion continued undisturbed towards the end and concluded with a piaffe pirouette. “He was great, what a feeling and what an audience!”
Afterwards, Fry said: “It is not often that I shed a tear after a test. Glamourdale was incredible. What a crowd, and what a show!”
For the chairman of the jury Francis Verbeek-Van Roy, this was Glamourdale’s very best test ever. “I have seen him many times, often not as a jury member, and I have never seen him as good as he was today. It was not just top sport, it was entertainment at the highest level!” She awarded the test with almost 90%, two other jury members (Christine Prip from Denmark and Isobel Wessels from Great Britain) went over it. The jury was unanimous in the placements of the entire podium. Fry’s impressive performance was almost 90% with 89.705% – just a little lower than the score of Jumping Amsterdam, but still one of the highest scores Glamourdale has run since the European Championships in Riesenbeck.
With sixty points (three times the total number of points, in London, Amsterdam and Den Bosch) Charlotte Fry will definitely reach the World Cup final.
