Pjethro, Powerdale and Princedale approved by the KWPN!
This afternoon, Monday December 11, the final presentation of the KWPN performance test took place in Ermelo.
Three stallions (co-)owned by Van Olst Horses have been tested by the KWPN over the past 21 days for their natural talent.
All three stallions; Pjethro, Powerdale and Princedale completed the final presentation with a good end result and are now KWPN approved!
Pjethro (Kjento x Desperado, breeder: A.J. Beerens) became the reserve champion. He is the first KWPN approved son of Kjento (by Negro).
The exterior of Pjethro was described by the jury as being more than sufficiently developed and strongly built. His head is expressive with a large eye. The neck has good length with a correct head-neck connection. The neck has good length and very good shape and muscling. The foundation is suitably developed and hard in quality.
Report:
Pjethro is a sympathetic and light-footed, rider-focused stallion with a very good attitude. The stallion has a lot of commitment and willingness to work and is very easy to work with by his rider. The walk has good activity, pure four-beat and good scope. The trot is characterized by a lot of mechanics and bending in the joints. The stallion has a lot of ability to go forward and come back, and the stallion carries well. The canter is uphill, with a lot of balance, very powerful and a very good use of the hing leg. Pjethro moves with a lot of tact and a very good leg technique, a lot of self-carriage and balance, where his ability to collect and go forward is very positive. Pjethro has a lot to a lot of talent as a dressage horse and gives his rider a very good feeling.
As breeding/mating advice, Pjethro can improve movement technique and mechanics and add balance and attitude to dressage horse breeding.
Powerdale (Glamourdale x Johnson, breeder: F&C Hoogenboom) was approved with a nice total of points.
The exterior of Powerdale was described by the jury as, among other things, generously developed, long-lined and long-legged. The foundation is suitably developed and off good quality.

Powerdale is an honest and elegant stallion with a good to very good attitude. The stallion is very willing to work and is very easy to train. The walk is pure and has scope. In the trot the stallion has more than sufficient impulsion, much to very much light-footedness, good scope, a lot of shoulder freedom and an active hind leg that carries well. The canter is very good uphill, with very good leg technique and has good to very good scope. Powerdale moves with a lot of flexibility, a lot of self-carriage and good balance. Powerdale has a lot of talent as a dressage horse and gives his rider a good to very good feeling.
As breeding/mating advice, Powerdale can add blood to dressage horse breeding and improve the light-footedness and dressage model.
Princedale (Glamourdale x Don Schufro, breeder: Stal Willig VOF) was also approved for his breeding duty.
The exterior of Princedale was described by the jury as being more than sufficiently developed with a generously developed foundation and of good quality.
